April 2010: Going-Electric presentation at the EESC hearing
The upcoming Belgian EU Presidency decided to consult the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) for an exploratory opinion on the topic “Towards a widespread use of electric vehicles”. March 2010: Contribution to Clean and Energy-efficient Vehicles
DG-Enterprise and Industry organised in March 2010 a consultation on an European strategy on clean and energy-efficient vehicles, in view of drafting a European Commission’s Communication and possibly of reviewing the vision agreed in the "CARS 21 mid-term review". March 2009: Contribution to the Future on Transport
As a first major step, we submitted to DG-Transport and Energy a contribution to the "Communication on the Future on Transport" to be adopted by the European Commission in June 2009. This communication is a first step towards a revision of the 2001 White Paper setting an agenda for the European transport policy throughout 2010. EVs are a cheap and effective way of reducing GHG emissions while significantly improving urban noise, air quality and energy security. Europe must become a leader in order to remain competitive and maintain jobs in the automotive sector. More...
