Contribution for the Future of Transport

In March 2009, Going-Electric submitted to DG-Transport a contribution to the "Communication on the Future of Transport" to be adopted by the European Commission in June 2009.

This communication is a first step towards a revision of the 2001 White Paper setting an agenda for the European transport policy throughout 2010. Going-Electric will participate to future stakeholder consultations on this topic.

Our contribution can be found on DG-Transport's website. It comprises:

• A position paper presenting Going-Electric's recommendations for the future of transport (download - pdf 255kB).
   
• The final draft (version 5.0) of our first scientific report "Energy consumption, CO2emissions and other considerations related to Battery Electric Vehicles" demonstrating advantages offered by electric vehicles (download the latest version - pdf 882kB). 

This contribution will help shaping the next legislative framework for Transport in Europe towards more sustainable mobility: a future with electric vehicles which will be significantly better for the environment while providing new jobs, sustainable growth, less oil dependency, and better living conditions.
