The upcoming Belgian EU Presidency consulted the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) for an exploratory opinion on the topic “Towards a widespread use of electric vehicles”.

Contribution to the European Strategy on Clean and Energy-efficient Vehicles

DG-Enterprise and Industry organised a consultation on an European strategy on clean and energy-efficient vehicles, in view of drafting a European Commission’s Communication and possibly of reviewing the vision agreed in the "CARS 21 mid-term review". Going-Electric made a presentation at the public hearing on March 11 and submitted a written contribution on March 15 providing innovative answers to questions raised by the Commission. More...

Belgian State Secretary Bernard Clerfayt has announced the new financial incentives for new EV buyers voted effective Jan. 1 2010 by the Belgian federal government. For individuals, it consists of a tax reduction reaching 30% of the purchase cost for electric cars and 15% for electric quadricycles, tricycles and motorcycles. More...
