Consultation on reducing CO2 from road transport

The European Commission organised a public consultation on reducing CO2 emissions from road transport in order to prepare the revision of Regulations EC No 443/2009 and 510/2011. You can find below the summary of the position's paper submitted as additional comments to the consultation.

At Going-Electric, we think it is crucial to make 2020 Regulation more ambitious in order to maintain European competitiveness.

To do so, the following measures need to be taken:

  • Road vehicle greenhouse gas emisions standards should be set for each new vehicle entering the vehicle fleet
  • Emission reduction targets should facilitate 2050 objectives

CO2 emissions from road transport need to be greatly reduced, and action is needed TODAY.
